Kenmare Cottage is situated in the Seaside town of Shanklin and is ideally located within walking distance of the beach, town centre, Old Village, Shanklin Chine and restaurants. Shanklin seafront is the perfect place to enjoy a traditional seaside holiday with a beautiful sandy beach, pubs, restaurants, amusements and crazy golf there is something for all the family. You can stroll down the cascade to the seafront or you can take the Cliff Lift.
Big Mead is a large open parkland situated south of Shanklin Old Village. This park is ideal for dog walkers and also within the park you will find a recreation area for children and a lovely duck pond at the bottom of the Mead by St Blasius Church.
The two mile coastal walk between Shanklin & Sandown is a popular attraction; choose from the undulating coastal path or the sea wall promenade. Along the way is the village of Lake, with its quiet sandy beach and water sport centre.
